Church History
The Rock of Salvation Christian Church was co-founded by the leading of the Holy Spirit through
Apostle J. w. & Apostle (Dr.) Debra Brown in 2008.
Before moving into their current location, the leaders consecrated themselves for an entire year in their home.
The first formal service was held on March 1, 2009.
The dedication of the church and installation of pastors took place during a celebration held on March 29, 2009.
Pastor Kent McMillian formally of Fryes Chapel FWB Church, located in Vass, NC rendered the dedication service for the church; while,
Pastor Bernard Hamilton of Friendship Grove FWB Church located in Raeford, NC rendered installation service for the pastors.
The church started with three faithful families.
Today, we have several families and supporters near and far who encourage, pray for, and support.
We are growing in the Word and expecting God to perform His best work for the Kingdom through this ministry.
We at the Rock have adopted the moto "Helps, Hope, & the Holy Spirit".
We want to be a Help to God's people; while, at the same time giving them Hope.
We can only do this by the leading of the Holy Spirit. We are focused on building FAMILIES.
The Rock thanks God for being honored by the Fayetteville Department of Social Services for supporting Families in need.
The Rock has the honor of supporting other ministries within the surrounding communities. Our outreach endeavors,
help with relief efforts in the local communities with Homelessness, Hunger, and with Clothes. these areas don't just include the United States,
but also international (Africa, Haiti, Israel, and the Bahamas).
The Rock has several ministries that include Hebrews Brothers Men's Ministry, Kingdom Builder's Youth Ministry, Marriage Enrichment Ministry,
Outreach Ministry (both domestic and international), and Pampered in the Rock Ministry Women's Ministry.
Plans are currently in place for Single's Enrichment Ministry to start in 2021.
We will continue to be faithful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and trust the process in which the Rock is built on.
